Data Integration Specialist

The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for taking customer requirements and converting them into data specifications for application and data integration.  This position will have the ability to execute ETL related tasks and testing related to vendor and county data integrations; which will include software updates; configuration changes; FTP and SOAP interface creations.
Essential Duties:
  • Collaborate with project management and agencies on customer-specific initiatives that involve data movement, translation, or integration development for small to medium projects
  • Execute customer requests/requirements, and testing of custom processes that will require writing/testing code to translate customer’s data to meet our standards
  • Interface with vendors to develop, test, deploy new interfaces
  • Access disparate data sources (Databases, XML and flat files) and apply internal and external business rules, policies and data quality measures
  • Anticipate risk and issues on new projects based on knowledge of past vendor or product obstacles and share concerns with the project team
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of complicated issues within the applications, software/hardware in database environments troubleshooting technical issues related to data transformation and flow
  • Collaborate with Integrations Development Team to take on troubleshooting of failed web service transactions, service outage notifications, and video visitation data maintenance

  • Advance knowledge in Python, C/C++, and java scripting
  • Advance knowledge with integration solutions for ETL, Messaging, and API service

  • Good working knowledge of multi-tier distributed application architecture
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Java, PHP, Windows, Linux OS, and MySQL
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or 5+ years IT related experience in technical analysis and implementation
  • 5+ years of experience working with Web Service environments, languages and formats including APIs, HTML, XML, and SOAP
  • 5+ years of experience working with database architectures and query tools
