DESCRIPTIONThe Business Intelligence Specialist will be in charge of designing and configuring all financial reports coming out of our ERP Solution. SSRS, SSIS, the data cube and Crystal reports will be in your advanced skillset thus making your role an essential part of the development and stability of our ERP data. You will also be required to follow system and security design standards and to align any existing reports with the needs of the business. In this role, you will be a critical part of owning, driving and delivering financial reports, reporting models and future looking reporting solutions that support the needs and next generation demands of our business. This role is based out of Houston, Texas at our Headquarters office.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the full range of MS SQL, SSRS, SSIS, cube, Crystal, business data analytics and all aspects of the Financial System in regard to reporting/data warehousing and data analytics.
  • Design, develop, test and implement financial reports using SSIS & SSRS or other front-end reporting tools
  • Work with heads of business units to understand business processes and outline report requirements for assigned projects
  • Write and run queries/stored procedures across multiple databases, troubleshoot and resolve data related issues
  • Assist in research and development of new business intelligence tools and techniques for report writing
  • Proactively generate and compile reports, with recommended improvements to, or new requirements for, business process and operational procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience working in public, government or a regulated type of organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science related discipline
  •  Minimum 4 years of experience with Report Writing/Development in a professional work environment
  • Knowledge of current IT systems and data systems technology, security, operations and practices
  • Skills in organizing work effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze and interpret research findings
  • Ability to compile data and prepare narrative and statistical correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Ability to understand complex program structure, strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Experience building a SSIS cube a Global IT team
  • Experience working with a global financial team and their different business requirements
  • Experience in creating complex stored procedures in MS SQL
  • Experience in Data Analytics
  • Advanced MS Office skills (primarily Excel)
