The Cyber Security Sales Engineer is an experienced technical consultant who interfaces with various external and internal client stakeholders to help develop commercially viable proposals focused on cyber security solutions for mixed-platform, complex enterprise environments.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serves as a technical resource for knowledge of Information Security architecture, design, documentation, incident response and management, vulnerability assessments and beyond.
  • Assists with developing technical presentations for projects and sales activities.
  • Writes the formal documents for proposals with emphasis on the technical description and definition.
  • Ensures the solution is something that can be delivered within the required timescales.
  • Works with procurement to obtain vendor quotations in support of proposals and quotes.
  • Provides the price analysis of the commercial and financial implications of bidding the project at specific price points with respect to the service cost.
  • Drives proof of concepts into implementations.
  • Responds to client questions and support engineering requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience developing proposals for cyber security solutions.
  • Experience with Encryption is required
  • Experience with any Vulnerability Assessment Tools, Firewalls/IPS, Anti-Malware Solutions, Endpoint Security Suites, Patching Solutions, Web/ Email Filtering, Log Management, Active Directory, or UNIX/Linux are desired.
  • CISSP or SANS technical certifications are beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to create consensus and work cooperatively across functional teams.
  • Ability to conceive/create new thinking and ideas pertaining to RigNet’s products and processes.
  • Intrinsically motivated with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies, understand customer needs and confidently articulate solutions.
